Women Self Defence Program is a program of realistic, self-defense tactics and techniques. It is a comprehensive course for a woman that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and avoidance, while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training.
WSDP is not a martial arts program. Our courses are taught by certified OCA instructors. The WSDP Systems is dedicated to teaching women Easy Effective Realistic defensive concepts and techniques against various types of assault, by utilizing easy, effective and proven self-defense tactics. Our system of realistic defense will provide a woman with the knowledge to make an educated decision about resistance. The WSDP System of Physical Defense is currently being taught to many of our Female Students at our Studios & Classes.
An Overview of Self-Defense :- You'll learn how to condition yourself to be alert and aware of dangerous situations; you'll discover how to use your natural instincts to protect and defend yourself; you'll quickly master the basics of assessing your environment for weapons and escape routes; you'll understand the key vital points of the body that can distract an attacker to your advantage; you'll find a natural defensive stance that can throw any attacker off-guard; you'll learn basic strikes, basic blocks, basic kicks, easy joint locks and you'll get an overview of self-defense at close, middle, and longer ranges.
Self-Defense at Long Range :- At longer ranges, you can most easily prevent an attacker from harming you. Learn easy strikes, blocks, and kicks that work at long range. We show you exercises which ANYONE can use their fists, feet, and arms to defend themselves effectively.Self-Defense at Mid Range. If an attacker comes close to you, it is critical to keep them from grabbing hold of you, striking you, or pushing you down. Your mid-range techniques we teach you how to use your elbows, knees, and natural weapons to get away from an attacker.
Self-Defense at Close Range :- Do you know what to do if an attacker grabs you from behind? Chokes you? Gets on top of you? In this module, you will learn how to use basic close range techniques and moves to get an attacker away from you so you can survive the attack.
Common Situations :- We walk you through common situations and how to escape each of them. Situations include: what to do when someone grabs you; escaping the bear hug from behind; dealing with someone trying to tackle you; what to do if you are on the ground and your attacker is trying to kick you; what to do if your attacker is on top of you etc.
Responses to Weapons :- When an attacker has a weapon – be it a stick, knife, or gun – you do have options. OCA extensive training helps in dealing with opponents with weapons. Take advantage of his simple yet powerful understanding of how to handle someone wielding a stick or a knife and even how to keep a close-range gun from firing. Hopefully you never need this information, but if the unthinkable happens, you'll know what to do.
To Turn Anything Into a Weapon :- Look around you. Can you turn any object into a weapon? We shows you how to turn anything into a weapon, from parts of your body to a curb, cell phone, keys, shoe, bag of groceries, purse, keys, wall, and even a newspaper etc.
Short Course Specially for Corporate Companies, Banks Staff, Hospitals Staff, Hotel employees & NGO etc.
More and more companies are hosting self-defense workshops as a means of providing a much needed benefit for their employees and staff. Corporate Companies, Banks Staff, Hospitals, Real Estate Agents, Courier services and even in-home caregivers are seeing the benefits of adding self-defense training to their employees' training schedule. Smart companies know they cannot afford to have any employee become a victim of violence on, or off the job. Each member of a team is valuable, and important to the overall well being of a company. Adding the services of a self-defense consultant may be one of the best investments your company makes this year. It's just one more way of insuring the long-term growth of staff and company alike.
Session 1 (10 minutes)
A) Light Warm up Exercise, Discussion on strategies of survival, defensive strategies and basic principals of defense. (20 minutes)
B) Participating students will begin the process of hands on training. We also discuss the pros and cons of defensive weaponry, how to develop a defensive mindset, understanding offensive and defensive postures, recognizing vulnerable locations and utilizing personal things as weapons for eg keys, keys chain, Comb, Hair brush, Scaff, Magazine, News paper, Pen Etc. And also learn Hand Strikes & Kicks (Shadow Training)
Session 2 (30 minutes)
Participating students will continue the process of hands on training. The techniques utilized by WSDP Systems are based on simple gross motor skills and are developed to the point that they become instinctual through repetition.
Session 3 (30 minutes)
A) Students will have the opportunity to use these techniques in dynamic impact training by striking padded equipment held by the instructors. All techniques target a single attacker. (30 minutes)
B) Students will then participate in "simulated assault" scenarios with WSDP instructors, who along with participants, wear state-of-the-art protective gear specifically designed for this training. Women have the opportunity to utilize their skills in a safe training environment; will also make them feel confident by realizing their strength & ability.
Since last 14 years OCA has Provided WSDP to several Corporate Companies, Banks Staff, Hotel Employees College Staff, Students & NGO etc. Nearly Five Thousand Women trained only in last 3years.
